WA-SHOO TOURNAMENT
The
Earl Park Fall Festival Foundation will host a Wa-shoo Tournament
on Saturday prior to the Labor Day Holiday Weekend. Pitching Wa-shoos
is similar in nature to pitching horseshoes, for more detailed
information about Wa-Shoo's visit their website at www.wa-shoos.com.
Participants score points by pitching a steel washers into a slanted
platform with a hole in the center. The scoring method also imitates
horseshoes and the first pitching team that reaches 21 points
wins the game.
The Wa-shoo
Tournament will be held at 1:00 PM behind the Cardinal Roost in
Earl Park. Registration begins at 12:00 PM. This will be a blind
draw tournament and automatic pairings will be done before 1:00
PM. The fee to enter the tournament is $20 per person and is non-refundable.
This is a double elimination tournament and the first place team
will receive a cash prize. It is for both men and women.
The Wa-shoo
Tournament occurs on the same day as the annual Hog Roast. Teams
are invited to take part in the food and beverages that will be
sold separately throughout the day. Questions may be directed
to chairperson Paul Schutter at (219) 474-6982 or by email to paul@wa-shoos.com.
