The
Earl Park Fall Festival will hold a grand parade on Labor Day
at 2:00 PM. The parade has proven to be very successful over past
years making it one of the special highlights of the weekend and
an enjoyment for people of all ages.
All
parade entries must register from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the
corner of Fifth and Maple Streets in Earl Park on Labor Day. The
registration times are firm and no entries will be accepted after
the stated time. Line-up will begin promptly at 1:00 PM. There
is no fee to place an entry into the parade.
Although
several types of entries are accepted into the parade, not all
entries are subject to judging and awards. First and second place
ribbons will be given to entries in the following classes: Antique
Auto, Antique Tractor, Floats, and Special Entry. There will be
no judging or awards given for the following types of entry: Bands,
Animals, Princesses, Queens, Shrine Units, or Horses and Buggies.
The Earl Park Fall Festival Foundation makes donations to bands
and Shrine units who participate in the parade.
Chairperson Niccole McGinnis is already hard at work trying to get some special features included in this year's grand parade. Questions may be directed to Niccole at (219) 474-3696.
